THE ALAMOS WILDLANDS ALLIANCE (AWA) AWA is a U.S. based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization involved in Conservation , Education, and Research in Southern Sonora, Mexico. The research station at Navopatia is operated by graduate students of Evergreen State College.

    ITSON - Instituto Tecnological de Sonora is a higher education institution founded in 1955. Offers courses in tourism at the Navojoa campus and helps support new projects aimed at tourism.

    SEMARNAP - Secretaria del Medio Ambiente, Recursos Naturales y Pesca (Secretariat of the Environment, Natural Resources & Fisheries) oversees the Sea of Cortes in Mexico
